Eligibility Criteria

• Diagnosis: Must have a confirmed diagnosis of uterine fibroids requiring myomectomy, supported by medical documentation.

• Medical Need: A letter from a healthcare provider recommending surgery due to symptomatic fibroids affecting the quality of life.

• Medical Bill: Documentation of (1) projected cost of procedure or (2) final cost of completed procedure 

• Insurance Status: Priority may be given to those who are uninsured, underinsured, or whose insurance does not fully cover the cost of the surgery.

• Location: Applicants MUST be residents of Washington, D.C., Maryland or Virginia. If you do not provide documentation that proves residency in D.C., Maryland, or Virginia, and answer all address questions with DMV addresses, your application will be rejected.

  • The Beauty of Our Giving Partnership applicants are eligible to apply so long as funds are available. BOGP funds are limited, grants are first come-first serve.

Application Requirements

• Application Form: Completed application form detailing personal, financial, and medical information.

• Supporting Documents: Required supporting documents include:

  • Proof of identity

  • Proof of residency

  • Medical documentation

Please note that the application will be open for a month. Successful applicants will receive notice of aid award no later than a week after the application closes.

Funds will be disseminated to cover accumulated or upcoming bills related to myomectomies ONLY.

Successful applicants will receive a $500 financial award
